I first discovered James Sinclair whilst scrolling Youtube & watching some of his videos and ideas centered around growing a business & seeing his success build.

James talks sense and knows the value of having the right team around him in order to succeed whilst making fit with vision and purpose.

During this episode (recorded over Zoom due to the COVID-19 lockdown) we discuss how he has pivoted to offer two new business models during this crisis and how he thinks the recovery will pan out over the next few years. We also get to hear James’ thoughts on the people you need around you to grow a business, how he started his company when he was young (17) and why he thinks employing people is the best way to grow – allowing an entrepeneur to do the big value tasks while handing off the other tasks to someone he can employ and therefore ‘grow’ his business.

  • What was the last book you read?

James – One Million Followers by Brendan Kane.

  • Who is the leader you look up to the most?

James – Controversially at the moment but Richard Branson has taught me the most over the years – from ‘Losing my Virginity’ – he’s always given bits of advice that have helped me grow my business.

  • What did you want to be when you grew up?

James – An entrepreneur – a business owner. Successful people start with the end in mind.

  • Whats the worst job you could imagine doing?

James – Just repetitive tasks – my brain doesn’t like repetition.

  • Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn?

James – Probably still Facebook – Facebook for me is still number one – followed by Youtube. The great thing about Youtube is that people spend typically 40 seconds on other social media but Youtube gives you 40 minutes of engagement.
