Social Buff is an engine for growth – those are not my words, but they are the words of William Ferreira, co-Founder of Social Buff – a 5 strong team spread over 2 countries who like to work in the FMCG space.
Will has plenty of experience working (and running) digital agencies and this was a step which he wanted to take when he realised that he might have to stay in the same place for 10 years – something that makes Will uneasy following an eclectic upbringing which involved plenty of international travel.
Moving to Bournemouth led Will to build his own agency straight out of University (after studying film studies) and after exiting that business in 2018 – the rest, they say, is history.

- What was the last book you read?
William – David Goggins – Can’t Hurt Me.
- Who is the leader you look up to the most?
William – Oprah Winfrey for what she was able to do in media and empowering others.. Another one would be Steve Jobs – his motivation and perseverance to strive for perfection was a testament to striving for perfection – there was no compromise in his standards to give the customer the experience they deserve.
- What did you want to be when you grew up?
William – It changed a lot to be honest! I still don’t know what I want to be – the first thing I remember wanting to do was be a professional rugby player – I nearly got there but then I went from sport to film-making.
- Whats the worst job you could imagine doing?
William – Probably a politician! I had a short stint as a youth advisor to a MP for a bit and the biggest frustration is that no matter how much you want to achieve, you have to jump through so many hoops to get there!
- Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn?
William – I am a big fan of Instagram – mainly for networking! I DM plenty of people on a daily basis – a big founder on Instagram will have a few hundred followers and there is no gatekeeper! LinkedIn is also great – the organic reach is still there and they don’t seem to be influenced by the other social media brands.
